Salt Lake City International Airport completes $4.1 billion terminal with ARDEX Americas

Salt Lake City International Airport faced the challenge of replacing its obsolete 1960s-era facility, which was designed for 10 million annual passengers but was serving 26 million by 2019. This massive $4.1 billion project, the largest public works project in Utah's history, was further complicated by the pandemic. ARDEX Americas provided the solution with its ARDEX V 1200 Self-Leveling Underlayment to level a deflecting structural floor before terrazzo installation.

The solution was implemented by an ARDEX LevelMaster Elite Installer, who applied more than 800 bags of V 1200 per day. The project was completed successfully, with ARDEX Americas' products helping the new terminal open on time and on budget, creating a beautiful facility ready to handle the airport's significant capacity demands.
