Essentra Packaging has halved the time spent on checking Braille thanks to DotScan technology from Arden Software

Essentra Packaging Limited, a leading packaging manufacturer for pharmaceutical and beauty industries, needed a faster and more reliable way to check Braille on packaging. Working with Arden Software, the company used the DotScan Braille inspection system to replace time-consuming manual checks and reduce the risk of human error.

Arden Software implemented DotScan at Essentra Packaging’s Bradford site, enabling rapid inspection of Braille height, positioning, and defective pip verification. The result was a 50% reduction in checking time for a 32-up job, from about 30 minutes to 15 minutes, while also improving accuracy and helping prevent incorrect Braille from reaching customers.
