Washington Unified School District, serving 7,500 students in West Sacramento, CA, was struggling with increasing vandalism and the critical need to improve student safety. With very few existing cameras, the district needed a cost-effective, scalable video surveillance solution that was simple enough for non-IT staff to manage. They evaluated several vendors, including Arcules, for this project.

With the help of partner CDW, the district implemented a cloud-based video surveillance solution from Arcules. The Arcules system was praised for its intuitiveness and ease of setup, with gateways taking only 15 minutes to install. The solution has empowered school principals to manage their own security and is scalable for future growth. Washington Unified has begun deploying cameras with plans for 120 across 15 sites, aiming to deter vandalism, increase security, and provide peace of mind to parents and staff.
