Case Study: WSP Achieves Fairer, More Efficient Hiring with Arctic Shores

A Arctic Shores Case Study

Preview of the WSP Case Study

How WSP provided candidates with a fair and inclusive recruitment process whilst increasing efficiency for hiring managers

WSP, one of the world’s leading engineering and professional services firms, wanted to improve its early careers recruitment process. With up to 500 hires a year in the UK, the team was spending too much time screening candidates, while also facing high dropout rates and a limited, homogenous talent pool. WSP partnered with Arctic Shores to move toward skills-based hiring and assess candidates for potential rather than relying on CVs and video interviews.

Arctic Shores implemented its task-based psychometric assessment between application and interview stages, integrating with WSP’s applicant tracking system to automate much of the screening process. The result was a faster, fairer, and more inclusive recruitment journey that saved about 100 days of recruiters’ time, or more than 2,500 hours, while helping WSP maintain equal opportunities and improve candidate engagement.
