Case Study: Voltex Group safeguards revenues and ensures compliance with Arcserve Appliance (Arcserve)

A Arcserve Case Study

Preview of the Voltex Group Case Study

Voltex (Pty) Ltd safeguards revenues and ensures compliance with Arcserve Appliance

The Voltex Group, South Africa’s largest electrical wholesaler with 84 branches and over 2,500 staff, needed a centralized, reliable disaster-recovery solution to protect operations and revenues across multiple locations. Their legacy backup lacked offsite replication, deduplication, granular restore and bare-metal recovery, leaving the business exposed to costly downtime and compliance risks.

Voltex implemented the Arcserve Appliance 8000 to replicate and deduplicate roughly 15 TB of data (reduced to 8 TB) multiple times per day, with additional tape backups for extra protection. Automated incremental backups, granular and bare-metal restores, and offsite replication shortened recovery times, freed IT resources, reduced costs, and ensured audit-ready compliance while safeguarding revenue and productivity.
