The Irish Dairy Board, a €2 billion commercial co‑operative and exporter of Irish dairy products (including the Kerrygold brand), needed to ensure continuous access to critical business data—emails, HR and accounting files, and EDI order data—even if files were archived, accidentally deleted, corrupted, or affected by hardware failure. As the organisation moved to a largely virtualised, hybrid environment, it required a simple, reliable day‑to‑day backup and restore solution to protect business continuity and staff productivity.

The board migrated to arcserve Backup r15, deployed by its in‑house IT team to protect 40 Windows servers and back up about 4 TB to tape weekly with differential backups during the week.
