Peers Hardy scales up global business with Arcserve

Peers Hardy, a UK-based manufacturer and distributor of watches, clocks and jewellery with operations in the UK, Far East and the US, needed a more reliable, cost-effective way to protect growing volumes of globally distributed data as it scaled internationally. Its previous backup solution was time-consuming to manage, drove up costs and made meeting security and GDPR requirements difficult, diverting IT resources to daily firefighting.

The company implemented Arcserve Appliance with Arcserve UDP and Cloud DRaaS to protect 20 TB of operational data (deduplicated to 7.6 TB), covering nine physical and six virtual servers with daily full and frequent incremental backups plus weekly cloud replication. The change delivered faster recoveries (a full server failure saw most systems restored within an hour and 99% back in three hours with zero data loss), major storage and cost savings, hourly backups, improved encryption/compliance, and freed IT to focus on higher-value tasks.
