Ofix is a Mexico-based office-supplies retailer with 800 employees, 24 branches and a multichannel sales model that sought digital transformation to improve operational continuity and create new business opportunities. The IT team faced manual tape-based backups, heterogeneous systems and slow disaster recovery processes that threatened service availability and limited scalability.
Ofix deployed Arcserve Cloud Hybrid, an Arcserve Appliance 8100 and Arcserve UDP (plus Replication & High Availability and Arcserve Backup), protecting 24 servers and critical ERP systems (Oracle Business Suite, MySQL, payroll and Alfresco). The centralized, automated solution reduced resource costs and recovery times—cutting RPO from 24 hours to 30 minutes for critical apps and RTO from 48 hours to 45 minutes—while providing managed support and faster, more reliable backups and failover.
