MCassab Cuts Backup Time by 71 Percent with Arcserve

MCassab Group is a Brazilian family-owned holding with 14 business units across manufacturing, distribution, retail and services. Its IT team faced an obsolete backup tool, no disaster recovery plan and the challenge of consolidating diverse systems and data into a single, reliable solution that met RTO/RPO targets as part of its REVITALIZA IT restructuring.

Working with reseller Cintech, MCassab deployed arcserve r16.5 to centralize backup, add deduplication, disk-to-disk and tape copies, and run regular health checks. The deployment now protects about 30 TB of virtualized data, cut backup time by 71% (to less than one-third of the previous duration), produced no data loss since implementation, and positioned the company for replication, high availability and stronger business continuity.
