Case Study: Martins Group achieves scalable, ransomware-resilient storage with Arcserve OneXafe

A Arcserve Case Study

Martins Group deploy highly scalable Arcserve OneXafe to safeguard business against rapid data growth

Martins Group, a 280‑employee family car dealership in the UK and long‑time client of MSP Hampshire Business Computers (HBC), faced retiring two Windows 2008 file servers as data needs grew. Although the servers held only about 1 TB, rising volumes of photos and video had scattered unstructured data across systems, strained backup and recovery, and created a need for a consolidated, highly scalable secondary storage solution that could be deployed with minimal downtime.

HBC recommended and deployed Arcserve OneXafe 4412, which was set up in about two hours thanks to its plug‑and‑play design and supported by Arcserve pre‑deployment calls. The OneXafe pay‑as‑you‑grow model and 90‑second snapshots provided scalable capacity, strong ransomware protection and low management overhead; the result was consolidated storage, minimal disruption during migration, and a successful, future‑proof solution praised by both Martins and HBC.
