KS Services, a Bradford-based IT provider supporting more than 150 SMEs, including Nexus Vehicle Management, was tasked with protecting customers’ critical systems where any downtime would disrupt bookings, breach SLAs and damage reputation. Nexus needed proven disaster recovery capabilities that worked at any time, including evenings and weekends, to ensure continuity of customer service.
KS Services deployed Arcserve Recovery Management (Backup, Replication and D2D) to replicate ~500 GB of data between Nexus’s HQ and KS Services’ disaster recovery centre, automate daily incremental backups, and enable bare-metal restores—reducing recovery to about six hours and proving the approach in a full DR rehearsal. As a result Nexus can maintain service levels and avoid penalties, while KS Services delivers reliable, cost-effective DR that boosts customer satisfaction and its competitive advantage.
