Haute Autorité de Santé (HAS) places its trust in Arcserve Backup Solutions

The Haute Autorité de Santé (HAS), France’s national health authority with 425 employees and a network of over 1,300 external experts, needed to modernize its backup strategy: increase capacity, eliminate operationally cumbersome magnetic tape backups exposed during lockdown, and bring Microsoft 365 backups back in-house while aligning with industry best practice.

HAS deployed an Arcserve 9096DR appliance paired with Arcserve OneXafe 4512 immutable storage (96 TB usable before compression/deduplication) to replace tape and secure immutable backup copies, with installation completed in a day. The new system simplified operations, strengthened ransomware protection, now handles growing Microsoft 365 data volumes (over 6 TB) with long-term retention requirements, and gives HAS a scalable foundation for future replication to a remote site.
