Gruver, a Mexican vehicle sales, leasing and after‑sales group of about 500 employees, needed to ensure uninterrupted service across its dealerships and support systems. Their legacy VMware VDP backups were out of support and custom scripts did not guarantee data integrity, leaving the company with slow recoveries (previous RPO ~4 hours, RTO up to 24 hours) and the risk of losing a day’s transactions.

Gruver deployed Arcserve Appliance 8100 with Arcserve UDP agents on Windows and Linux, configuring backups for VMware VMs, MS SQL, Active Directory and workstations and performing granular AD and bare‑metal recoveries. The solution now protects 24 servers and 5 workstations, cut RPO for critical apps to 15–60 minutes and RTO to 45 minutes, reduced storage and staffing costs, shortened backup windows and centralized automated recovery — with cloud backup under evaluation.
