Fujifilm India safeguards business-critical data with Arcserve UDP Appliance

Fujifilm India, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fujifilm Holdings with 20 locations across India, needed a robust, reliable backup and recovery solution to protect large volumes of business-critical data that support finance, supply chain, distribution and customer services. Loss of this data would risk major disruption to operations and customer experience.

In July 2018 the company deployed an Arcserve UDP Appliance to protect about 6 TB across 25 servers (ERP, SQL, SAP, VMware, Oracle, BI and user files). Incremental backups run throughout the day with roughly 80% deduplication, and servers can be restored in hours (a recent 500 GB server was recovered in under three hours). The solution has minimized the risk of data loss, boosted IT and user productivity, and freed the team to focus on higher-value work.
