ECOFIS, a 60‑person IT services provider, manages the infrastructure for Creditreform — one of Europe’s largest credit reporting and debt collection organizations with over 120 subsidiaries in Germany. Because Creditreform’s business depends on timely, accurate local and central data, ECOFIS faced the challenge of delivering a scalable, fast recovery solution across diverse, autonomous IT environments so customer requests could be answered without delay.

ECOFIS standardized on Arcserve Backup (now r16.5), rolling it out to 120 sites to protect about 40 TB across roughly 500 physical and virtual servers with 125 local backup servers. The deployment improved recovery speed and reliability, delivering about 99% data availability, daily file/registry restores and only a handful of full recoveries per year—helping Creditreform safeguard its reputation, service levels and revenue.
