DB Schenker safeguards Quality of Service with Arcserve RHA and Amazon Web Services Cloud

DB Schenker, a global integrated logistics provider, needed a faster disaster‑recovery solution after trials with AWS-based DR failed to meet its one‑hour recovery time objective (RTO). The company required a reliable way to restore services quickly to protect customer service levels, productivity and revenue.

DB Schenker deployed Arcserve Replication & High Availability (with partners CRS and SoftwareOne) to replicate about 60 Windows and Linux servers (≈50 TB) from a VMware farm in Sydney to AWS EC2. A proof‑of‑concept and full rollout (completed in two weeks) delivered an RTO of under 30 minutes and sub‑second RPO, enabling rapid failover, regular testing and assurance of service continuity.
