Bunduq Company Bunduq Leverages OneXafe to Improve Scalability and Boost Return-on-Investment

Bunduq Company Limited operates the El Bunduq offshore oil field between the UAE and Qatar and employs about 300 staff and contractors. After adopting a hyper-converged infrastructure, Bunduq relied on scale-up storage (QNAP and Netgear) for backups but ran into limited scalability, complex maintenance and rising costs that threatened future growth and backup reliability.

UAE partner Unicorp recommended StorageCraft’s OneXafe 4412 scale-out immutable NAS, which integrated with Bunduq’s HCI, provided built-in replication and ransomware protection (immutable snapshots), and delivered inline deduplication and compression. Deployment was plug-and-play; a second node was added within a year. Today Bunduq stores 80+ TB on OneXafe with an effective data reduction of about 8:1 (562 TB ingested to ~73 TB stored), resulting in a smaller footprint, simpler management and strong ROI.
