Barret Delivers Better Customer Services at A lower Cost with Arcserve Data Management Solutions

Barret AB, an IT services provider in central Sweden offering datacenter hosting, cloud computing and application management to local businesses, needed to guarantee high availability and rapid disaster recovery to protect its customers and avoid penalty fines. Their previous DR approach demanded hours of daily backup administration and was costly to run.

Barret implemented Arcserve Backup and Arcserve D2D to automate backups across a largely virtualized environment (protecting about 50 TB for 15 customers) and used Windows Server 2012 deduplication to reduce storage. As a result they can restore systems in under an hour, have freed 2–3 staff hours per day, lowered operating costs, improved service quality, and are planning to add continuous replication.
