Argea Safeguards Ongoing Support for Sardinian farmers with Arcserve UDP

Argea, the Sardinian regional agency that administers EU, national and regional agricultural subsidies for roughly 60,000 farms, needed to ensure continuity of its core services across 28 branch offices. Because most of its processes are electronic, the agency required an automated, phased backup solution with short recovery times and the ability to protect both virtual and physical systems.

Argea deployed Arcserve UDP to back up 3.88 TB of data across its environment and to create virtual standby machines for critical systems. The new solution eliminated failed backups, cut recovery to minutes for files and about an hour for servers, allowed rapid restoration after a cryptolocker attack, and delivered lower risk and cost with scalability for future needs.
