Admirals Trading LLC is a Dubai‑based food importer and distributor with about 200 employees and a 30‑vehicle fleet serving the UAE and Middle East. To protect tight delivery schedules and its supply chain, the company needed a simple, self‑hosted, cost‑effective backup and disaster‑recovery solution that would safeguard all applications and servers, run without impacting performance, and reduce the risk of unplanned downtime.

In January 2017 Admirals deployed an Arcserve Appliance to back up 17 servers—including ERP, web and Exchange—and roughly 13 TB of data, which the appliance deduplicated to about 2 TB. With incremental backups every two hours, fast restores that cut recovery from a day to minutes, and real‑time replication to a DR site, the solution eliminated the need for extra storage, freed IT time and budget, and ensured business continuity and cost savings.
