Accent Housing, a social housing provider managing more than 20,000 properties and employing 480 people, collects growing volumes of sensitive tenant and business data as it expands and plans 2,000 new homes. Facing legal obligations to keep that data secure and the risk of exceeding storage capacity—while maintaining access to resident portals, tenancy records and call histories—the organisation needed a scalable, efficient backup solution.

Accent deployed two 80 TB Arcserve UDP appliances with scheduled backups, deduplication and Platinum support. The move sped up backups, enabled three times more servers to be protected, and delivered 72% deduplication, 32% compression and an overall 81% data reduction—letting Accent store roughly five times more data, keep tenant services highly available and improve IT productivity and peace of mind.
