Metropolitana, one of Spain’s most established post-production and SFX houses, needed a reliable way to protect and manage the growing volume of finished commercials, project files, and media assets for demanding clients such as Adidas, Audi, VW, and Coca-Cola. Using Archiware P5, they aimed to simplify backup and archiving while making sure projects could be found and restored quickly when needed.

Archiware P5 was implemented for both backup and long-term archive, connected directly to Metropolitana’s MAM and its Quantum StoreNext SAN. The solution now drives three tape libraries and manages more than 2PB of archived files, with Autodesk Flame projects and shared storage backed up automatically to LTO tape. As a result, Archiware P5 has helped Metropolitana protect productions, preserve media assets over the long term, and keep archived projects easily searchable and recoverable.
