Hochkant Film, a video production company, required a robust system to secure and manage its unique and valuable film data. The challenge was to automatically back up large volumes of data from numerous annual productions and provide fast, reliable access to archived assets for customer requests and new projects. They implemented Archiware P5 for both backup and archive.

The solution from Archiware P5 automated the backup of up to 15TB per shoot to an Elements Bolt Storage and utilized a Spectra Logic tape library for long-term, secure archiving with off-site storage. This provided Hochkant Film with the flexibility to manage future data growth and ensured high availability of footage. The result is that data is retrieved from the archive almost daily for new productions, references, or customer handovers, maximizing the durability and security of their assets.
