Bern University of Applied Sciences builds communication training stations and completes workflow with LMS, MAM and P5 Archive

Bern University of Applied Sciences needed a modern, reliable way to support communication training with video capture, playback, storage, and publishing. Their old Windows XP-based setup was disconnected and unreliable, with no centralized storage and DVDs used for file transfer. They chose Archiware P5 Archive as part of a broader workflow redesign with a MAM system to streamline recording, reviewing, tagging, transcoding, and LMS publishing.

Archiware P5 Archive was integrated with CANTEMO Portal MAM and the university’s recording stations so finished training videos and tags could be automatically transferred, transcoded, published to the learning management system, and archived to LTO tape for long-term preservation. The new solution improved reliability, reduced management overhead through remote iPad control and planning-tool integration, and delivered a seamless end-to-end workflow that surpassed requirements.
