The customer, AHTOH, a production brand led by independent producer Anton Nelson, faced challenges in managing and securing the large 8K files from its outdoor and action footage productions. Manually storing clips on single hard drives was cumbersome, risky, and time-consuming, prompting the search for a comprehensive archive solution from vendor Archiware P5.

Archiware P5 implemented its P5 Archive solution with an mLogic LTO tape drive. This provided an easy-to-use, scalable platform for long-term data protection and management, complete with MAM-like features for browsing and searching. As a result, AHTOH's workflow improved significantly, storage expenditure was cut in half, and the ability to easily find and license archived clips created a new revenue stream. Data security was also increased with the use of P5 Backup for automatic protection.
