TB Bank’s EV Migration Project to Office 365 Hits a Snag; Project Saved with Archive360

TD Bank, a member of TD Bank Group and a subsidiary of The Toronto-Dominion Bank, was migrating its hosted Symantec Enterprise Vault email archive to Office 365 to reduce costs and improve the user experience. The project had to preserve all email, attachments, and metadata in place for retention and eDiscovery needs, while also avoiding disruption for users and dealing with hundreds of millions of message stubs in mailboxes.

Archive360 was brought in after two earlier migration providers proved too slow, complex, or costly. Using FastCollect for Archives, Archive360 migrated 440 TB, 2.2 billion messages, and 97,000 mailboxes, and rehydrated 736 million message stubs. The migration was completed on time and within budget with zero end-user disruptions, and TD Bank said it saved millions of dollars annually in hosting fees.
