Major Global Investment Bank’s EV Migration to Office 365 Hit a Snag; Saved with Archive360

Global Investment Bank, a top 10 financial services company in North America, needed to move its hosted Symantec Enterprise Vault email archive to Office 365 to reduce costs and improve the end-user experience. The project was complicated by strict financial industry retention requirements, eDiscovery needs, and hundreds of millions of message stubs that had to be handled without altering archived email or disrupting users.

Archive360 replaced two earlier vendors and used its FastCollect for Archives solution to migrate the archive directly and rehydrate message stubs. Working with Microsoft, Archive360 completed the project on time and within budget, migrating 2.2 billion messages, 97,000 mailboxes, 736 million message stubs, and 1/2 PB of data with zero end-user disruptions. The bank also saved millions of dollars annually in hosting fees.
