Case Study: Wuhan University achieves streamlined drawing and data consolidation across 900+ buildings with ARCHIBUS

A ARCHIBUS Case Study

Preview of the Wuhan University Case Study

Wuhan University Merger Uses ARCHIBUS to Streamline Drawing and Data Consolidation for 900+ Buildings

Wuhan University, one of China’s top universities with about 55,000 students, 38 colleges and roughly 991 buildings, faced a complex facilities challenge after merging with three other institutions. Each campus used different, often paper-based or CAD-based methods to track space and drawings, making it difficult to consolidate accurate space data and manage the combined real estate portfolio.

The university implemented web-based ARCHIBUS Space Inventory & Performance and Service Desk with an Overlay for AutoCAD & Revit and completed a six-month rollout that imported legacy drawings and centralized room and drawing data. The solution provided easily accessible, standardized building drawings, aligned room classifications with Ministry of Education standards, enabled Space Standard Area (SSA) chargebacks, streamlined compliance reporting, and has consolidated data for 960 of 991 buildings to date.
