Hamilton County, Ohio: Achieving Space, Safety, Environmental Goals

Hamilton County, Ohio’s Facilities Department oversees roughly 275 buildings (3.5M sq. ft.) across Cincinnati and 37 municipalities and faced tight budgets, complex space and lease management, fleet and maintenance demands, health and safety emergencies (including pandemic vaccine distribution), and growing sustainability/LEED requirements.

The county deployed the ARCHIBUS suite—Space Management, Real Property & Lease, Emergency Preparedness, TEAMS Green Building, Fleet Management and web-based custom apps integrated with CAD—to centralize data and workflows. The solution improved space forecasting and vacancy identification, streamlined lease and asset tracking, enabled web-accessible emergency plans and vaccine logistics, supported LEED tracking, and delivered administrative, operational and cost savings while strengthening safety and business continuity.
