GACA Domestic Airports: Managing HQ and 23 Airports with ARCHIBUS

The General Authority of Civil Aviation – Domestic Airports (GACA DA) manages the GACA headquarters plus 23 airports across Saudi Arabia, overseeing some 6,500 buildings and more than 214,000,000 m2 of interior and exterior space. Faced with multiple incompatible legacy systems and extensive manual processes, GACA needed to centralize accurate space and lease data, link as‑built drawings to its facilities database, preserve legacy data and automate application of the Saudi Civil Aviation Tariff Law.

GACA worked with ARCHIBUS Solution Centers–Saudi Arabia to deploy ARCHIBUS integrated with ArcGIS Server: a web‑based RIA with an Arabic interface and lunar calendar, CAD overlays, and full lease‑lifecycle, space inventory and cost management. The implementation centralized space/lease/asset/drawing data, automated tariff administration, improved data accuracy and operational efficiency, and provided GIS‑based analyses and forecasts to support informed, enterprise‑wide decision‑making.
