A ARCHIBUS Case Study

Preview of the Menzies Distribution Case Study

CIFM Makes the News in Scotland

John Menzies Wholesale, part of the John Menzies Group in Edinburgh that distributes 50 million copies weekly to 24,000 customers, moved into a new 4,776 m² headquarters while reorganizing 46 branches. Facilities Manager John Tucker needed a flexible, technology-driven FM system to track furniture and equipment, optimize space, manage maintenance centrally, and control contractor and maintenance costs without increasing headcount.

They implemented ARCHIBUS through MASS Systems, deploying Furniture & Equipment Management, Space Management and Building Operations Management modules with customizable work orders and a central help desk handling about 40 work orders daily. The solution improved asset visibility, established corporate furniture standards, identified under- and over-utilized space, reduced paperwork, and enabled proactive control of expenditure and contractor costs while improving service delivery.
