A ARCHIBUS Case Study
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is a Fortune 500 semiconductor manufacturer with 39 facilities totaling more than 2 million square feet and over 10,000 employees. Facing complex, global facilities and a broad set of environmental inputs and outputs to monitor, AMD needed a consolidated, auditable way to track more than 250 EHS data points and meet ambitious 2020 sustainability targets (25% renewable energy and a 20% absolute GHG reduction) beyond what its legacy system could deliver.
AMD deployed the ARCHIBUS suite—including Environmental Health & Safety, Energy Management, Green Building, Hazardous Materials, Mobile Framework and related facilities modules—to integrate space, asset and personnel data, replace the legacy system, and enable global site access. The solution streamlined incident and compliance tracking, centralized utility and emissions reporting, optimized energy and cost decisions, and provided real‑time access for preventive maintenance and hazardous‑materials management, supporting AMD’s sustainability and facilities‑management goals.
