Cutting Zebrium's Risk and Doubling Savings

Zebrium, a company that uses machine learning for software incident detection, needed to lower their AWS costs without losing the flexibility required for their rapid growth. Using AWS reservation options forced difficult tradeoffs between savings and commitment. To achieve their goals, they turned to vendor Archera and its Archera Guaranteed Reserved Instances (GRIs) product.

By implementing Archera GRIs, Zebrium was able to double their coverage of on-demand usage. The solution from Archera provided them with a 56% savings over on-demand instances while drastically reducing their financial commitment and lock-in risk to just 30 days. This outcome allowed the company to move faster and at a materially lower cost than was possible with native AWS options.
