IGas Energy creates a 6-inch window in 3 hours with Archer Well

The customer, IGas Energy, required a clean sidetrack window and rathole to be milled through casing for a directional drilling assembly in a well in Southern England. Archer Well provided the solution using their X-it™ Whipstock mechanical system to accomplish this challenging casing exit.

Archer successfully installed the whipstock and milled the window in a single trip. The entire operation was completed in just three hours, providing a full-gauge window that allowed the subsequent drilling and liner assemblies to pass through without issue. This efficient operation was the first time Archer's UK team had performed a casing exit in the country.
