A Archer Well Case Study

Preview of the Major Operator Case Study

A major operator installs Archer Well whipstock in under 4 hours to mill a 12 1/4” window

The customer, a major operator in the North Sea, required a clean, full-gauge window to sidetrack a well through their 13 3/8” casing. Archer Well provided the solution using their 13 3/8” X-it™ cased hole whipstock mechanical system to accomplish this casing exit.

Archer Well successfully milled the window and rathole in a single trip, completing the 9.89-meter section in under four hours. Their Integrated Operations center provided remote support for the entire operation, a first for a North Sea casing exit. The subsequent drilling assembly passed through the window without issue, allowing the customer to successfully run and land the next liner string.
