P&G Uses ArcESB AS2 Connector to Improve Data Security, Syncing, and Accuracy
Procter & Gamble (P&G), one of the world's largest consumer packaged goods companies, needed to integrate its vast China supply chain with GDSN and GS1 standards to ensure secure, accurate, and synchronized product data across hundreds of millions of transactions. To meet this challenge P&G selected ArcESB and its AS2 Connector (with EDI translation) to handle secure web-based transmission and GS1/GDSN compliance for Chinese logistics and trading-partner interactions.
ArcESB implemented an encrypted AS2 connection and end-to-end master data transfer integrated with P&G’s ERP via a local partner, transmitting GDSN, weight, and size data directly to retailers. Using ArcESB, P&G achieved real-time, secure connectivity, improved order, shipping and receiving accuracy, reduced logistics costs and waste, and increased revenue by boosting trading-partner confidence and order accuracy.
