Green Supply Slashes EDI Costs 90 Percent by Moving EDI from a VAN to ArcESB

Green Supply, a wholesale distributor of 45,000+ hunting, fishing, camping, and sporting goods, was struggling with high EDI costs and manual processes after relying on a VAN for years. Processing more than 20,000 EDI messages per month created transaction fees, file-splitting bottlenecks, and inventory issues, so Green Supply sought a scalable EDI software solution and selected ArcESB to replace the VAN.

ArcESB was implemented to translate and map X12, CSV, and other formats, support AS2 and multiple messaging protocols, and integrate with Green Supply’s FTP/CSV backend; ArcESB’s strong support enabled rapid rollouts (two major integrations with Amazon in about one month each). The new ArcESB solution now handles 90–95% of Green Supply’s EDI traffic, cut EDI costs by over 90% (about $90,000 saved annually), and eliminated much of the manual processing and backlog.
