ArcESB facilitates SCM EDI between Target and Major Textiles Manufacturer

Target worked with a large global textiles manufacturer that needed to streamline supply‑chain integration with Target Online Shopping by automating EDI order and fulfillment processing. The supplier selected ArcESB to implement an SCM EDI solution—using ArcESB Connect with the AS2 Connector and the DataToXML X12 Connector (plus Excel integration)—to securely send and receive EDI X12 messages (850, 860, 864, 997) via spreadsheets and avoid a full ERP or third‑party provider.

ArcESB implemented secure AS2 file transfer, X12 message transformation and Excel‑based spreadsheet integration so the supplier could monitor and convert product updates into EDI documents for Target. By using ArcESB the supplier eliminated VAN fees and costly ERP development, achieved direct bidirectional communication with Target, and completed the integration on time and under budget—reducing ongoing costs and improving order/fulfillment efficiency.
