Case Study: Voyages Fram achieves synchronized IBM i and JIRA development workflows with ARCAD Software

Thanks to the ARCAD Connectors, Voyages Fram’s IT Department Synchronizes IBM i Applications with Functional Development

Voyages Fram, a major French tour operator, needed to modernize how its IT teams managed legacy IBM i applications alongside new Windows/Linux developments. With JIRA adopted as the central workflow and project-tracking tool, the IT department required a reliable link to its existing ARCAD Software tooling (including ARCAD‑Skipper) on IBM i to avoid duplicate work and to align processes across platforms.

ARCAD Software’s Java-based ARCAD connectors were used to build a plug‑in (developed with Valiantys) that synchronizes JIRA issues with ARCAD Maintenance Reports (MRs), automatically creating and updating ARCAD records and exchanging identifiers, versions and timestamps. The integration automated MR creation and lifecycle actions, eliminated repeated manual steps, and streamlined cross‑platform development and change tracking—resolving Voyages Fram’s “doing things twice” issue while speeding and securing IBM i software management.
