Kenco, a woman‑owned integrated logistics provider, faced frequent deployment failures, random outages and slow delivery of custom IBM i applications due to fragmented configuration management and manual build/deploy processes. To create a more collaborative ALM process, Kenco engaged IBM Business Partner Oxford International and ARCAD Software to implement IBM Rational tools (Rational Team Concert and Rational Developer for i) alongside the ARCAD Pack for Rational.

ARCAD Software deployed ARCAD modules (including ARCAD-Builder, ARCAD-Deliver and others) tightly integrated with Rational to automate dependency analysis, builds and deployments and rolled the solution out across more than 30 applications. The automation improved application‑build and deployment productivity by 20% each, reduced the testing cycle by at least eight hours per release, eliminated weekly manual deployment work that had required a full‑time employee, and automated updates to 20 libraries—resulting in more consistent builds, fewer outages and higher developer/tester productivity.
