Fideuram Bank Luxembourg automates its Applications with the ARCAD Tools

Fideuram Bank Luxembourg, part of the Banca Fideuram group and managing EUR 68.4 billion in assets (12/31/2007), ran its core banking on the MIDAS (Misys) platform across two AS/400 Power i systems. Facing a growing volume and frequency of MIDAS module updates, the bank struggled with manual versioning and needed better reliability and traceability for application changes.

In 2003 Fideuram selected ARCAD Software and implemented ARCAD-Skipper, ARCAD-Deliver and ARCAD-Observer, working with ARCAD to adapt the tools to MIDAS compilation standards and to reorganize delivery libraries for automated transfers. The ~6-month initial rollout plus a further six months of adjustments delivered automated versioning, full traceability of IBM i objects, stronger control over production transfers and a stable application environment with very few incidents, plus improved support turnaround and integration paths (IFS/Eclipse) for Java and SQL components.
