ADIS, an insurance brokerage managing over 700,000 contracts, needed to comply with GDPR by anonymizing customers’ personal data more reliably and automatically than standard pseudonymization. After evaluating options, ADIS selected DOT-Anonymizer from ARCAD Software to meet strict confidentiality requirements and centralize anonymization across diverse databases.

ARCAD Software implemented and configured DOT-Anonymizer (pilot Nov 2016–Feb 2017; production Sept 2017), providing DBMS-agnostic, irreversible anonymization, homonymy for consistent masking across systems, and a Groovy script to ensure postcode–city consistency. The result was GDPR-compliant, more efficient and reliable anonymization that preserves data types/formats for QA (maintaining end-to-end testing and enabling detection of edge-case defects), with ARCAD Software noted for rapid, responsive support.
