Oil Shippers System Migration From Outdated Technology Platform

Leading Modern Technology Solution Provider was facing a failing, end-of-life Plumtree Portal and unsupported Livelink 9.2 that threatened shipper access to invoices, documents and transit tools—risking customer service, revenue and reputation. ARC Business Solutions was engaged to replace the unstable portal components and port the existing shipper functionality into an existing Java web application used to track oil movement.

ARC Business Solutions designed, developed and deployed a single integrated Java/JSP/AJAX web application (integrating Oracle/PL-SQL, UMDS/LDAP, SiteMinder and Livelink capabilities), redesigned navigation and security, and supported rollout with UAT, training and one month post-production warranty. The result was one customer-facing application instead of two (lower maintenance and licensing costs, freed server space), removal of the unsupported platform, reduced risk of failures and support calls, and preserved customer access and confidence.
