Agribuddy, an agritech platform in Cambodia, provides smallholder farmers with agricultural materials on credit. Their major challenge was mitigating the risk that farmers, who depend on rainfall, would be unable to repay their loans after poor harvests caused by extreme weather, as traditional insurance was not widely available.

Arbol implemented its parametric coverage solutions to protect against these weather risks. This solution was critical for Agribuddy to secure partnerships with financial institutions. The result was Agribuddy providing $1.5 million in credit to previously unprotected farmers, significantly transforming their ability to manage risk and strengthening Agribuddy's business model.
