Consilium Marine & Safety AB, a Swedish maker of fire, gas and safety detection systems for transport, offshore and oil & gas markets, struggled with fragmented product data across network drives and standalone systems. Rapid growth and strict safety and certification requirements made revision control, change impact assessment and document management slow, error-prone and difficult to scale.

Consilium adopted the Aras PLM platform via partner Minerva on a subscription basis, centralizing product data and automating change and revision workflows. The implementation produced faster product development and smoother handovers to production, improved visibility of documents, parts and change impacts (including certification effects), more predictable costs and lower total cost of ownership, with plans to add ECAD and CRM integrations.
