Aras Enterprise Open Source PLM Resonates with Amtech Electrocircuits

Amtech Electrocircuits is a family‑owned electronics manufacturing services provider (founded 1996) serving automotive, medical, aerospace and other high‑reliability markets. Facing a high‑mix, low‑volume environment with constantly changing part numbers and multiple customer‑specific approved manufacturer lists (AMLs), Amtech needed a web‑based, flexible system to hold BOMs, track revisions, manage AMLs and reduce both direct and indirect costs.

Amtech implemented Aras Innovator enterprise open source PLM and integrated it with their UnifyMRP and ERP systems to centrally manage AMLs, BOMs, engineering changes and production documentation. The integrated solution cut new product introduction from weeks to days, reduced sourcing and quoting cycles to about 15 minutes, and delivered measurable benefits in optimized purchasing, balanced inventory, higher process yield and stronger compliance.
