Liaison Technologies, a global data management and integration company and creator of the ALLOY™ Health Platform dPaaS, needed a use-case agnostic, cloud-operated solution that could handle document storage, graph traversal, search and time-series data while minimizing the number of mission‑critical systems to operate. To meet those requirements they evaluated and selected ArangoDB, a multi-model document-and-graph database, as a core component of the platform.

ArangoDB was implemented as materialized views for customer data and extensively for platform metadata (using edge collections and Foxx microservices), providing transactions, strong performance for small–medium graphs, and a unified storage model that let Liaison converge multiple capabilities into one system. Liaison reports faster prototyping, easier CRUD and UI development, quick team onboarding thanks to ArangoDB’s documentation and community, and reduced operational complexity—helping ALLOY™ meet its scalability, resiliency and customization goals.
