Nutrien Ag Solutions’ CRT network of independent rural suppliers and agronomists in Queensland needed a better way to support growers facing highly variable weather, irrigation needs, and unpredictable microclimates. Many growers were skeptical of agritech and didn’t use personal weather stations, making it hard to justify new data tools or show clear value in day-to-day farm decisions.
Arable helped by deploying three Arable Mark devices across peanut and potato fields to capture hyperlocal weather, irrigation, temperature, rainfall, NDVI, and later potentially leaf-wetness data. The portable, phone-based system gave Paul Keevers real-time insights and accurate 14-day forecasts, improved irrigation and spray decisions, and strengthened customer relationships; in some cases, the insights helped increase profit margins by over 20%, positioning Arable as both a practical management tool and a sales enablement asset for Nutrien Ag Solutions.
