Hach Water Information Management Solutiontm (Wimstm)

The City of Salem needed a data management solution for a multi-year pilot project testing a natural reclamation system to polish wastewater. Their challenge was to capture, store, and analyze a significant magnitude of data from multiple sources to determine the project's success and report on it. They turned to vendor Aquatic Informatics and their Hach WIMS product to handle this complex environmental data.

Aquatic Informatics implemented their Hach WIMS solution, which required minimal modifications to capture all the necessary wetlands data. The system successfully compiled over five years of pilot-scale testing data, allowing for complete analysis and the preparation of required reports. While the full-scale wetland project's feasibility remains in question due to land availability, the solution provided the City with the advanced technological means to capture, assess, and analyze all the information for their innovative environmental initiative.
