Electric Company, Elvia, Automates Security and Meets Regulatory Guidelines with Aqua

Elvia, Norway’s largest power distribution company, needed a way to support its shift from traditional utility operations to a cloud-native, software-driven model while meeting strict regulatory requirements. As its teams built applications on Azure using Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, Terraform, and GitHub, Elvia needed to automate security and shift it left into developer workflows. Aqua Security, through its Cloud Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP), was brought in to help secure containerized and serverless workloads across the development lifecycle.

With Aqua Security, Elvia automated vulnerability scanning, compliance checks, runtime protection, and real-time monitoring across its DevOps pipelines and Kubernetes clusters. The solution helped ensure packages and dependencies were secure at build time and gave Elvia visibility into anomalous behavior, CVEs, and zero-day threats in production. As a result, Elvia improved developer productivity, moved faster with more confidence, and strengthened security and resilience without slowing delivery.
